About the Caravan
Some were discovered. Some were entrusted to the Caravan. Others simply appeared.
Each carries a story.
A few carry considerably more.
The Mystical Caravan is no ordinary travelling collection. For generations, it has gathered curious objects, forgotten relics, and unusual artefacts from places both near and impossibly far away. Some were discovered in abandoned houses, distant markets, or private collections. Others arrived with no explanation at all. Each has been preserved not simply for what it is, but for the story that clings to it.
Within the Caravan, every object has a history. Some are beautiful, some unsettling, and a few are best approached with a certain amount of caution. Their origins are recorded in the Tales of the Mystical Caravan, where visitors may uncover the people, places, legends, and peculiar circumstances that brought each relic into the collection. Whether every account should be taken as absolute fact is a matter the Curator prefers to leave to the judgement of the guest.
The collection is watched over by The Curator, whose task is to catalogue its ever-growing assortment and ensure that its more temperamental acquisitions remain where they belong. He is assisted by The Caretaker, guardian of the Caravan and keeper of many of its practical — and occasionally less practical — secrets. Other inhabitants have made themselves at home among the exhibits as well. Madame Leota continues her investigations into matters beyond the veil, while Quarles the Raven observes the comings and goings with considerably more attention than one might expect from a bird. There are others, of course. The Caravan has never been particularly good at remaining unoccupied.
The Mystical Caravan exists to preserve these stories and share them with those willing to look a little closer. Wander among the collection, examine what has been gathered, listen to its Tales, and take your time. A seemingly insignificant detail may have travelled a very long way to reach you.
And should something within the collection appear to be watching you in return, the Curator politely asks that you refrain from encouraging it.
Welcome beneath the canvas
By day, visitors are welcome to wander through The Mystical Caravan, explore its collection of strange relics and curiosities, and discover the stories hidden among its exhibits.
But the Caravan is not quite the same after dark.
As the sun sets, the lanterns brighten, its inhabitants begin to stir, and the Caravan’s nightly performances and encounters begin. Return throughout the season as new relics are revealed, new Tales emerge from the collection, and familiar corners of the Caravan take on a rather different character.
