The Curator’s record
The bell is never rung by hand. Its glass covering is intended to discourage contact, not to contain what answers.
Provenance
Celestine used the bell in séances until it rang three times before a question was asked and admitted many spirits at once. She vanished from the empty Hall, leaving only the bell upon the table.
Observed activity
The bell rings without being touched. A third tone signifies that a spirit is present, though the number and disposition of those answering cannot be controlled.
