The Curator’s record

Contents cannot be catalogued for long. The cabinet door is closed when internal mixing begins, and visitors should verify that they have not appeared on an ingredient label.

Provenance

Thaddeus Mire used the cabinet first for medicines and generous work, then for gold, fame, transmutation, and immortality. The drawers collected his memories, joy, compassion, and wonder before requesting his heart. He vanished, leaving one drawer open and blank.

Observed activity

Drawer labels change to match the user's required ingredient. Emptied drawers refill, but nothing is created without payment. Mixing, tapping glass, and Thaddeus's calculations may be heard within.
