The Curator’s record
Visitors are discouraged from complimenting the arrangement. The Curator once called it rather lovely and was followed by three vines.
Provenance
Madame Petronella Bloom bought the vessel at an estate sale and used it as a vase, ignoring that it had served in ceremonies of gratitude. Her rare roses learned her appetite for admiration and eventually absorbed her into a new bloom.
Observed activity
Praise enlarges the blossoms and vines. Silence causes them to droop; criticism provokes thorned attacks. One pale bloom bears an expression resembling Petronella's.
